Light Aggregates

CML has a full range of drainage materials, including Lytag and Leca. CML supplies the complete range of Lightweight Aggregate.  The primary raw material for Leca / Lytag is PFA, a by-product of coal burning. PFA is first palletised and then sintered at 1250° to produce rounded pellets.

Lightweight aggregate is a sintered, lightweight honeycomb aggregate that is resistant to frost and chemicals and will not break down in water. It is also non-combustible and has excellent sound and thermal insulation properties. Specially graded lightweight aggregate contains a minimum of “fines” and is offered for use as an aggregate in screed render and sports pitch drainage.
